When I discovered this alpaca yarn in 2012, I set out to design a simple yet elegant infinity scarf to showcase this amazing wool. Because alpaca is such a heavy fibre, it was also important that the stitch could support the weight of a long scarf and not sag. The special brioche-like stitch I've used does just that, providing a cushion of incredible softness. SOPHIE is also completely reversible, which is a nice touch for a scarf that will show both sides when it's worn. Long or wrapped twice around your neck, it will be one of the warmest scarves you own.
When you hold SOPHIE in your hands, you understand true luxury of design and material.

The following are undyed naturally blended alpaca colors: natural, toffee, sterling, griege, slate and milk chocolate. Good for you, good for the environment. Visit the zed Q&A page for care instructions.
A few color notes; slate is an undyed natural alpaca blend and because of that has no blue tones, just a steel grey with a hint of a brown undertone. I think it is quite similar to the Peruvian highland wool color I call gunmetal. Natural color has been discontinued so if you have your heart set on one of these, best to order soon to avoid disappointment. Toffee color is gone except for this last piece just completed. There will never be another made so don't miss out!
Special orders will take about 3 weeks to complete. Please contact me with any questions.
