In 2013 I set out to create an undeniably feminine wool scarf for the zed knitwear line, but it was important that it fit in with my design mantra of simplicity. The softly rounded edge tapering at both ends is interesting and easy to wear. The hand knit garter stitch is textural and pure. The shape reminds me of a graceful fin, and the sound-alike PHIN (a name I thought I was making up) is actually the name of a similarly shaped Thai lute. Serendipity!
